The 'paparazzo' Fabrizio Corona, a
convicted blackmailer who, for some mysterious reason, became a
local role-model for chavs and wannabe gangsters and an idol for
tabloid-reading housewives, tried to escape arrest by driving from
Italy to Portugal in a Fiat 500 in four days and then surrendered to
the police in Lisbon. He thus performed one of the hardest
test-drives that have ever been carried out on this model.
